Hyderabad, India – On 29th September 2024 (Sunday), a special event took place to recognize individuals whose exceptional leadership has created lasting change in the areas of social impact, sustainability, and community empowerment. The Champions of Change Awards 2024 was held at the Hyatt, Gachibowli and was a celebration of compassion, innovation, and hope. It was organized by The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad Alumni Association Hyderabad Chapter Charitable Trust (IIMAAAHCCT) and Udbhav Schools.
The event was graced by esteemed Guests of Honour, including Mr. Krishna Prasad Tenneti, IPS (Retd.) MP (Bapatla) and Mr. Jayesh Ranjan, IAS (TG); who joined in recognizing very inspiring leaders.
The awards honoured:
- Ms. Sunita Krishnan, founder of Prajwala, for her relentless fight against human trafficking and her work in rehabilitating survivors.
- Brigadier P. Ganesham, for his innovative approach to rural development through Palle Srujana, fostering local innovation and entrepreneurship.
- Mr. Suhiem Sheikh, for empowering youth and promoting water sports through The Yacht Club of Hyderabad.
- Dr. Ramanjaneyulu, for pioneering sustainable agriculture practices at the Centre for Sustainable Agriculture.
- Dr. Evita Fernandez, for her tireless contributions to women’s healthcare and maternal well-being at Fernandez Hospital.
- Dr. Chinnababu, for his impactful work in cancer awareness and treatment through the Grace Cancer Foundation.
- Mr. Mayur Patnala, for his dedication to education and skill development through Nirmaan.
These awardees have set exemplary standards through their work, embodying the ideals of leadership that focus on empowering others and creating a sustainable and just future for generations to come.
Prominent industrialists, business leaders, and entrepreneurs from across the country will also be in attendance, further underlining the significance of collaborative leadership in shaping the future.
